1. Operator and Data Controller Entity
minijobs.support (“we”, “us”, “our”) is operated by Cloud 7 Trading - Alan Smith t/a minijobs.support, Sole Trader address: 20/8 Oxgangs Crescent, Edinburgh, EH13 9HL, United Kingdom. Contact: legal [at] minijobs [dot] support / privacy [at] minijobs [dot] support.
These terms (“Terms”) form the legally binding agreement between you and Cloud 7 Trading for using the website and directory services. By creating an account, posting a job brief, or browsing the site, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Neutral Introduction Venue & Technician Non-Liability
minijobs.support operates strictly as a directory introduction platform. Technicians are independent contractors, not employees, agents, partners, joint venturers, or subcontractors of Cloud 7 Trading. We do not inspect, supervise, verify, direct, or guarantee any work performed, advice given, or pricing agreed upon between users.
Cloud 7 Trading carries zero liability for physical hardware damage, device loss, data corruption, personal injury, or contractual non-payment arising from technician-client interactions. Any contract for technical support or repair work is entered into directly and exclusively between the customer and the technician.
Technicians are independent contractors. They decide for themselves what jobs to take, when to do them, how to do them, and what to charge. We do not take any commission on technician earnings and we never handle payment for customer repair jobs. A technician’s subscription pays solely for access to the directory, not for guaranteed leads or earnings.
3. Cryptographic Security & Cyberattack Limitation (UK GDPR Art. 32)
Cloud 7 Trading implements industry-standard cryptographic measures (including Argon2id/bcrypt password hashing, AES-256 database storage encryption, salted IP hashing, and encrypted offsite backups). The User acknowledges that no internet transmission or electronic storage service is 100% impenetrable.
In the event of a third-party cyberattack, data breach, distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) event, or unauthorized system penetration despite reasonable technical measures, liability is strictly limited as set forth in Section 5.
4. Service Availability & Downtime Exemption
The Platform is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. Cloud 7 Trading makes no guarantees regarding continuous, uninterrupted, or error-free service. We reserve the right to take systems offline for routine maintenance (including our scheduled Sunday morning maintenance window), security patches, and performance tuning.
Cloud 7 Trading shall not be held liable for transactional delays, lost earnings, missed job leads, queued messages, or communication failures caused by server downtime or upstream network outages.
5. Enforceable Absolute Financial Liability Cap
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law, including:
- Death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
- Your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which cannot be waived.
To the maximum extent permitted by law in the UK, EU, and Switzerland, the total aggregate financial liability of Cloud 7 Trading, its proprietor Alan Smith, and its operators for any claim (whether in contract, delict, tort, negligence, breach of statutory duty, or otherwise) shall be strictly capped at the greater of: (a) the total subscription fees paid by the User to the Platform in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) £100 (One Hundred Pounds Sterling).
6. Subscriptions, Billing and 14-Day Right to Cancel
A technician subscription gives the holder access to contact customers who have posted job briefs, for as long as the subscription is active. The current standard price is £10 per month. A promotional rate of £1 per month applies for the first three months for new subscribers; the standard rate applies from month four onwards.
Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. We send an automated reminder at least 3 days before each renewal date.
Cancellation by you: You can cancel at any time via your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid billing cycle. We do not refund partial months.
14-day statutory right to cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations): Because a subscription is a distance contract, consumers in the UK and EU have the statutory right to cancel within 14 days of purchase and receive a full refund by emailing info [at] minijobs [dot] support. If you request immediate access and utilize the service during this 14-day window (such as contacting clients), we may deduct a proportionate amount corresponding to the service provided.
7. Acceptable Use
You must not:
- Post fake, misleading, fraudulent, defamatory, or unlawful job listings, or request services prohibited by law.
- Scrape, harvest, or copy the directory, its listings, or users’ contact details using automated bots or scripts.
- Use contact details obtained through the directory to send unsolicited marketing, spam, or messages violating PECR or GDPR.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit access to the directory platform.
- Offer or request work that is illegal or requires mandatory statutory licensing that the technician does not possess.
- Attempt to disrupt service operations, bypass security barriers, or access restricted database layers.
8. User Content & Intellectual Property
You retain full ownership of the job briefs, profile text, reviews, and images you submit (“Your Content”). You grant Cloud 7 Trading a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, format, and distribute Your Content strictly for the purpose of operating the directory service. This licence terminates when you delete Your Content, except for encrypted backups retained for up to 60 days for disaster recovery.
9. Suspension and Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that materially breach these Terms, engage in fraud or harassment, or pose security risks to other users. Unused prepaid subscription time will be refunded on a pro-rata basis, unless termination occurred due to fraud, unlawful conduct, or severe security violations.
10. Governing Law and Scottish Jurisdiction
These Terms, and any non-contractual obligations or disputes arising out of or in connection with minijobs.support, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland.
All users irrevocably agree that the courts of Scotland (Edinburgh Sheriff Court) shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim, subject only to mandatory statutory consumer venue rights under UK and EU consumer protection law.
