Cookie policy

We use only essential cookies and first-party cookieless analytics to run the site securely. No advertising trackers, no cross-site profiling.

1. The short version

We use only the cookies and similar technologies we actually need to run the site, keep it safe, and measure performance. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers. You can adjust your cookie preferences at any time using our cookie consent banner.

2. What we actually use

Session cookie (first-party). When you log in, a short-lived cookie holds your session so the site can recognise you as you move between pages. It is set to expire when you close the browser, or sooner.

Locale preference (first-party). A small preference cookie remembers which language you chose so we do not ask again on every page.

Cloudflare security cookies (first-party). Our edge provider, Cloudflare, sets a small number of cookies to tell real browsers from bots and to protect the site against automated abuse. These are set by Cloudflare on our behalf and are required for the security of the site.

First-party analytics (no cross-site identifier). We use a small, self-hosted cookieless analytics tool (Umami) that runs on our European VPS infrastructure. It does not set a persistent cross-site identifier, does not build a profile of you outside this site, and does not share data with advertising networks.

Payment processing. If you buy a subscription, Stripe or PayPal may set their own cookies on the payment pages they run. Those cookies are set by the payment provider, not by us, and are governed by that provider’s own cookie policy.

3. What we do not use

  • No advertising cookies.
  • No third-party analytics or tracking pixels.
  • No social media pixels (no Facebook, X, LinkedIn, TikTok or similar tracking).
  • No data-broker or people-search integrations.
  • No cross-site profiling of any kind.

4. Controlling cookies in your browser

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, or update your choices via our cookie consent banner. If you block all cookies, essential parts of the site (for example, staying logged in) will not work.

5. If this ever changes

If we ever add a new cookie, a third-party integration, or a feature that requires consent, we will update this page first and show a consent banner where the law requires one. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change to match.
